Connection really is the magic wand in parenting. Some childhood psychologists  have said that 80% of parenting is connection. Connection and play can transform our relationship with our children and empowers us to move from coercion, bribery and control to one of cooperation and mutual respect. Connection parenting is parenting from a place of love and not fear.

While the three main principles are self regulation, connection and coaching (not controlling), the key tools we will work through are those of empathy, soothing and guiding our kids with love.

Connection parenting ultimately leads to:

- kids who develop a strong sense of self-worth and self-esteem (stemming from our time with them and time spent. empowering them, providing opportunities to feel like they contribute and thus matter).

- kids who are resilient (the ability to not just flourish but thrive when the going gets tough).

-kids who are kind and empathic (because we show them kindness and empathy in our interactions with them).

-kids who feel like they belong.

-parents who delight in their children again.
